Hybrid marketplace: own shop + partner sellers · Belarus

Storefront, seller cabinet and moderation — one system

The task

The client needed a platform where their own goods and partner sellers’ goods sit on one storefront. Own goods sell with a cart and on-site checkout; partner goods via the seller’s own payment link, with the platform not a party to that sale. Sellers list products themselves, pass verification and pay for placement by subscription — and the buyer should never notice that the shop and the partners work differently.

Problems we solved

Two ways to buy on one storefront confuse the buyer and get tangled in the code.

An “Our shop” / “From the seller” badge on every card; own goods go to the cart and checkout, partner goods to an interstitial page and then to the seller’s link — only to whitelisted domains.

A seller without a cabinet calls the admin about every listing.

A seller cabinet: verification application and documents, five-step product listing with photos and per-category attributes, reviews, disputes, subscription and view statistics.

Third-party goods reach the storefront unchecked — along with stolen photos and swapped payment links.

A moderation queue with AI pre-check and a human decision, the rejection reason visible to the seller; payment links only to approved domains; blocking and unblocking recorded in the audit log.

The platform’s only revenue is seller subscriptions, and they can’t be tracked by hand.

Plans with a product limit, automatic suspension of listings when the subscription lapses and reinstatement after payment, invoices for legal entities, plan downgrade by request.

Reviews can be gamed, and personal data leaks from the database.

Review rights only after a confirmed purchase; personal fields encrypted at the column level, seller documents in private storage behind short-lived links, staff sign-in with a second factor.

The catalogue has to bring buyers in from search, not just display goods.

Server-rendered catalogue and product pages, Product/Offer/BreadcrumbList markup, sitemap, redirects for old URLs, filters by category, price, city and availability.

What we did

  • A storefront with two ways to buy: cart and on-site checkout for own goods, hand-off to the seller for partner goods
  • Seller cabinet: verification, products, reviews, disputes, subscription, statistics
  • Moderation of products and reviews with AI pre-check and a manual queue
  • Seller subscriptions: plans, limits, auto-suspension, invoices for legal entities
  • Catalogue with filters, search, guest favourites and structured data for search engines
  • Admin: sellers, products, categories, payment domains, pages, audit log
  • Encrypted personal data, private document storage, second factor for staff
  • Mobile storefront and cabinet; works without JavaScript wherever that is the path to a purchase
